If you are reading this then you must think you are in some type of depression. Well, I'm not a doctor but I'm trying to cover it as good as possible. I have also put the source of my information.
What is depression?
According to google. Depression is a mental health disorder characterised by persistently depressed mood or loss of interest in activities, causing significant impairment in daily life.
Possible causes include a combination of biological, psychological and social sources of distress.
This definition covers almost everyone!
Everyone has some issues with there life. This is how human are made, with imperfections.
That doesn't mean we are sick.
What are the symptoms of depression?
People may experience:
Mood: anxiety, apathy, general discontent, guilt, hopelessness, loss of interest, loss of interest or pleasure in activities, mood swings, or sadness
Behavioural: agitation, excessive crying, irritability, restlessness, or social isolation
Sleep: early awakening, excess sleepiness, insomnia, or restless sleep
Whole-body: excessive hunger, fatigue, or loss of appetite
Cognitive: lack of concentration, slowness in activity, or thoughts of suicide
Weight: weight gain or weight loss
Also common: poor appetite or repeatedly going over thoughts
Are you really depressed?
As far as I know. You are the controller of your life. You have every rights to do whatever you like. I know many of your loved ones can influence your livelihood. But at last, it is you who make a decision. Depression is not a disorder, and you are definitely not sick. All you need to do is stop thinking a lot and start doing whatever you love to do.
